(Surviving the Death Committee)
In his latest film, director Nima Sarvestani embarks on a deeply personal quest for justice for his murdered brother, who was executed by the Iranian regime shortly after the revolution for supporting the leftist opposition. In Sweden, he joins forces with Iraj Mesdaghi, a former political prisoner and survivor of the Death Commission. Through a carefully planned operation, they lure a key figure behind the prison massacres out of Iran, placing their trust in the European legal system in an attempt to initiate an unprecedented trial.
