The Encampments
(The Encampments)
The largest protest movement since the Vietnam War era emerged in the spring of 2024 on the campus of Columbia University in New York. Hundreds of students were responding to the catastrophic humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip.
The protest movement subsequently spread to dozens of universities worldwide. In the eyes of the establishment, the entire event was reduced to the actions of radical students supporting Hamas, terrorism, and anti-Semitism. Filmed directly from the heart of the protests, the documentary describes the intense struggle for the human rights of Palestinian civilians who have become victims of war. By this act, the protesters themselves risked their own futures, facing unconditional expulsion from the university.
