Vojta’s Life: A New Episode
(Vojtův život)
Approaching forty, Vojta lives alone in a small Prague studio apartment, navigates the city’s cultural and academic circles on a modest income, and searches for a close romantic connection. Can he find love?
In the era of dating apps and carefully curated profiles, finding a partner often seems more about marketing skills than human qualities. Vojta returns to the basics: pure physical closeness, guided by instinct and primal attraction. In his experiment, he meets different women based on the scent of their T-shirts. The project is staged like an intimate reality show about dating, set within the tightly knit community of filmmakers around FAMU. Will Vojta’s nose lead him to his life partner? And does scent really determine who we choose, or does attraction have its roots somewhere else entirely? This documentary investigation offers a fascinating look at contemporary relationships, loneliness, and the search for authentic connection.
