Are Tesla cars really that safe? Their fully autonomous, self-driving systems have already caused a number of serious accidents in the U.S., and the company is currently under investigation by various federal authorities. Meanwhile, Europe is still hesitant to approve them.
It was a fateful day for Dillon and Naibel when a Tesla rammed into the young couple’s parked car at full speed. As it turned out, the vehicle was on autopilot. Despite Tesla’s repeated assurances regarding the safety of its autonomous vehicles, many risks still persist. Insiders in this documentary talk about the toxic work environment at the company, where abuse of power and coercion run rampant. This behavior is reflected in the company’s CEO himself. The film charts Elon Musk’s gradual transformation from a champion of green cars into a controversial ultra-right-wing figure with a messiah complex, for whom democracy is merely an obstacle.
