Nisreen Qawas

Director of the Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Department at the Palestine Red Crescent (online)

Nisreen Qawas is the Director of the Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) Department at the Palestine Red Crescent Society since October 2021.

She has over 30 years of experience in mental health, counselling, and special education across Jordan and Palestine. Nisreen has led major community-based programs focusing on resilience, women’s rights, and psychosocial support for communities affected by armed conflict and  vulnerable populations. She is also an experienced trainer and advocate, contributing to capacity building, policy dialogue, and innovative mental health services.
