Petr Kouba

Petr Kouba, PhD, studied philosophy at Charles University, the University of Zurich, Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, and the University of Lausanne.

He is the author of Phenomenon of Mental Disorder: Perspectives of Heidegger's Thought in Psychopathology (Springer, 2015), Margins of Phenomenology (Traugott Bautz, 2020), and other monographs.

He is co-editor of the books Medicine in the Context of Western Thought (Galén, 2008), Unchaining Solidarity: On Mutual Aid and Anarchism with Catherine Malabou (Rowman&Littlefield, 2021), Social Ontologies (Edinburgh University Press, 2024) and other volumes. He is currently the principal investigator of the Czechia-Japan project Social Withdrawal and Mental Disorders in Post-Pandemic Times, supported by the Czech Academy of Sciences and the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science.
