Tereza Stöckelová
sociologist of science, technology and medicine
Tereza Stöckelová studied sociology and focuses on the study of science, technology, and medicine. She is currently engaged in research on algorithmically and pharmacologically mediated forms of corporeality and new food technologies in the context of green transformation, within which she is developing the concept of extended metabolism.
She works at the Institute of Sociology of the Czech Academy of Sciences and teaches at the Department of Social and Cultural Anthropology at Charles University's Faculty of Humanities. Since 2020, she has been a member of the advisory body of the UNESCO World Commission on the Ethics of Scientific Knowledge and Technology.
