About the film

The documentary focuses on the role of women in the so-called Islamic State. Using the much-publicized story of British jihadist Tooby Gondal, the film reveals the mission of women who have recruited girls and women from the West for the radicals’ holy war.

For a few days, the film’s director gains access to a refugee camp for the wives of so-called Islamic State fighters and their children. It tells the story of a woman who fled London at the age of 20, leaving behind her university studies and a wealthy family. In Syria, she took on the role of a wife and member of ISIS. For three years, she has been intensively and successfully recruiting followers in Europe through dozens of Twitter accounts. Sitting in front of the camera is a gentle, almost shy person, a mother of two whose motivation for her promotion of horrific terrorism remains shrouded in mystery.
