One World in Brussels

For the eleventh time Brussels can see the documentary films of the international One World Festival which was held in March 2017 in Prague and in dozens of other cities in the Czech Republic.


The eleventh edition of the human rights documentary film festival One World in Brussels takes place from 24 April to 4 May 2017.

Brussels can see the best films of the international One World Festival. The screenings are held at the Czech Representation as well as in the Bozar Centre for Fine Arts, the European Parliament, the Norway House, Cinema Galeries and the Committee of the Regions.

Entry is free for most of the screenings.


The jury of One World in Brussels 2017 has decided to select the winning film 'Tickling Giants' directed by Sara Taksler. According to the jury, this film does more than tickle the imagination; it is a gripping account of Egypt's political changes and transitions.
The jury has also decided to give a special mention to the documentary 'The Opposition' directed by Hollie Fifer and also 'Lost in Lebanon' by Sophia Scott.
