We are Russia

(Rossiya - eto my)

Milena and Kolya take part in the largest anti-Putin protests in Russia's recent history. After many years, they have a chance to publicly support a promising opposition candidate – Alexei Navalny.

It is a year before the presidential election. Putin's loudest opponent, Alexei Navalny, is gaining more and more support from the younger generation. Tens of thousands of people across the country are calling for change. However, anyone who decides to support Navalny publicly must face the prejudices of traditional society, followed by the brute force of the state security apparatus. Police bullying and detention of students are a raw reminder of repressive power, but also a fundamental test of the perseverance of those who strive for a more democratic and freer Russia.
