Exhibition of Illustrations for Old Age Rises!

Kasárna Karlín, Prvního pluku 20/2, Prague 8

Synopses are a wonderful way of attracting audiences to a film. At the same time, however, they can be a source of frustration when you build expectations based on them and these prove to be false. In cooperation with Elpida, we decided to find out what this organisation’s client anticipated about some films after reading the synopses.

The final result consists of illustrations to five films from this year’s Old Age Rises! section (100UP, Gogo, Nothing but the Sun, Dad’s Leaving, and Still into You), which were created by people from the older generation solely on the basis of short synopses without knowing anything about the actual films. Will the illustrations at least partially correspond to the films? Or will diametrically different stories evolve?

Come and find out for yourself!
