School of Seduction

The stories of three women attending courses in a Russian seduction school and the development of their romantic life provide a picture of both women and men in contemporary Russian society.

Wearing high heels, practising seductive movements, and knowing exactly how to attract the right man to marry will ensure that a woman will be secure and happy forever. Diana, Lida and Vika attend special courses on this "art" at the Russian School of Seduction. It also teaches them what role a woman in Russia should assume in order to be loved by men. Can the seduction students achieve their dreams? By documenting the private lives of three women over a period of seven years, the director has created a tragicomic portrait of Russian patriarchal society. A woman without a man is nothing here; on the contrary, it is socially desirable for women to achieve better social status only through marriages with highly positioned men.
