Short and Apt

Short documentaries have an advantage over feature films – they capture current events faster, thus leaving more room for discussion. Our activists’ section covers the protests in Venezuela, the Rohingya refugee camps, and the Hong Kong situation. The next section looks at Azerbaijan and the persecution of activists and the local LGBT+ community. Other shorts from our diverse selection will show us climate refugees, the world of computer wargames, and some Swedish girls who express their freedom, emotions, and opinions through original dance.

How to Disappear

Computer shooting games are usually a faithful replica of real wartime conflicts, but an important real world element is missing – the option to desert rather than take part.

Juck (Thrust)

JUCK drew attention to themselves in 2013 with a viral video showing several girls performing an original dance in which each made her femininity apparent in her own way. This short film, part documentary, part videoclip, is a closer intro to the philosophy behind the entire movement.
