Lecture: What Is With This Pitching Thing?

Institut Cervantes, Na Rybníčku 536/6, Prague 2

Every year, experienced documentary mentor Mikael Opstrup watches 700–800 pitching trailers and hundreds of presentations. At the same time, he is probably one of the very few film professionals who still sees pitching as an important constructive part of the filmmaking process and something that should be preserved. In this lecture, he shares his view of pitching trailers as well as what purpose presenting a not-yet-existing film might have.
