Frequently Asked Questions

Are the festival films screened in English?

Yes, all films are shown either in English or with English subtitles.

How much are the tickets?

Tickets to screenings starting before 5 p.m. (inclusive) cost CZK 70 (including on weekends). Tickets to screenings starting after 5 p.m. cost CZK 90.

Can tickets be purchased online?

Yes, progress is unstoppable. This year you can buy tickets online for all festival cinemas! Online advance ticket sales are operated by each cinema separately, not by One World, so if you have a question it's best to contact the relevant cinema for more information. Tickets go on sale 29 February.

Can I go to one place and buy tickets to screenings taking place at different venues?

Unfortunately not, as the festival venues operate their own ticket sales systems only tickets to films screened at the given festival venue can be collected from the box office of the festival venue concerned.

Where do I learn about sold-out screenings?

Advance information about the sold-out screenings is published on the festival website. If the screening is sold out the box with the film screening date located next to the film synopsis (Films A-Z) turns red and the SOLD OUT sign appears in the cinema and/or daily programme next to the screening in question.

Why should I register on the festival website?

As a registered user (you can register also via Facebook), you can access the “My Programme” web application, compile your own programme, receive our festival newsletter sent by email to all One World fans and never miss a thing at the festival.

How can I use “My Programme”?

If you are registered on our website, select the film you want to see, click on the desired screening date and add it your programme. Once you finish, you can print out your compiled programme and have your own schedule of screenings ready at any time.

I have registered on your website but have forgotten my password. What can I do?

If you have forgotten your password, please enter your registration e-mail here and wait for an email with instructions on how to create a new password.

Can I vote for the Audience Award also online?

No, you can vote only at the festival venues.

Will festival T-shirts and other souvenirs be on sale this year?

Our festival T-shirts and knapsacks were again designed in cooperation with ZOOT this year. You can buy them at the Infopoint in the new Audience Centre at the Lucerna Gallery or via the e-shop.

Is there somewhere I can leave my kids while I watch the film?

Absolutely, we are happy to look after these future movie buffs! We operate a children's corner for kids from 2 to 6 years in the Světozor cinema beneath the "Terryho ponožky" store. It is open weekdays from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. and on weekends from 1:00 to 7:30 p.m. The children's corner is operated in cooperation with Czech Television and staffed by teachers from the People in Need preschool.

How can I support the activities of People in Need?

People in Need (PIN) runs a number of programmes in the Czech Republic and worldwide. You can support the PIN’s activities by joining the PIN’s Club of Friends or by buying a Real Gift.
