Jeden svět Returns to Brno (19–26 March 2026)
The International Human Rights Film Festival Jeden svět, organized by Člověk v tísni (People in Need), has been one of the most established human rights film festivals in Europe for more than twenty-five years. Through documentary cinema and accompanying debates, the festival highlights pressing social, political and environmental issues from around the world and creates space for public dialogue.
In 2026, the Brno edition of the festival will take place from 19 to 26 March 2026, bringing a week of screenings, discussions and special events to audiences across the city.
This year, the festival programme will unfold at multiple locations throughout Brno, reflecting its city-wide character. Screenings and events will be held at:

Programme and Accessibility
The festival presents a curated selection of international documentary films addressing topics such as human rights, democracy, climate change, gender equality, freedom of expression and social justice. Many screenings are followed by moderated discussions with filmmakers, experts, activists or protagonists of the films.
Jeden svět in Brno aims to be accessible and inclusive. A number of screenings are marked as English-friendly, either featuring English audio or English subtitles. Selected discussions may include interpretation, and efforts continue to expand language accessibility for international audiences. All screenings are clearly marked in the programme with information about language versions and accessibility features.
