(Les Sacrifiés de l'IA (In the Belly of AI))
This unsettling and ironic dive into the belly of the omnipresent technology exposes, through expert testimony, the “victims of AI”—the pillars on which today’s large language models are built. Every answered prompt comes at a hidden price: cheap labor from populations in the Global South, mental health consequences stemming from the analysis of violent content, and the excessive extraction of mineral resources. All of this aligns with the emerging ideology of longtermism, which emphasizes moral responsibility toward the distant future of humanity and is gaining increasing support among Silicon Valley elites.
