Alex – Everyone is Special

(Alex – Fahrradfahren! Ich will es schaffen)

Alex is a happy, twelve-year old boy with autism who loves school and his friends. This year, he has set himself a challenging new goal: to learn how to ride a bike.

Alex attends a school for children with special needs and learning disabilities where he’s taught basic life skills for living independently: from reading and learning how to count to cooking and riding a bike. Each of his classmates approaches their assignments in their own way and at their own pace. Alex’s goal by the end of the school year is to pass the cycling proficiency exam. Despite some setbacks here and there, Alex refuses to give up, and his teachers, family, and classmates provide him with strong support along the way.
