Since 2007, he has been leading the Rakovník Ornithological Society Fénix, an association of amateur enthusiasts interested in ornithology and bird conservation. 
He has been devoting himself to birds for 35 years, coordinates the bird monitoring in the Křivoklátsko Bird area, and has been a member of the Czech Ornithological Society since 1992.
