Talking Cinema
The Talking Cinema programme consists of a series of exclusive debates with foreign experts who will discuss themes currently agitating the world, such as the struggle for the independence of Polish courts, women’s activism in Iran, and the current situation in Afghanistan.
Other, more cross-sectoral issues will also be discussed: the power of investigative journalism, climate activism, or the effect of technology on the future of work.
Each discussion will be preceded by a screening of the specified film, and all will take place in the large screening hall at the Municipal Library. The discussion moderators are drawn from the ranks of leading Czech journalists.
Unless stated otherwise, all the discussions will be held in English, with simultaneous interpretation into Czech. Selected discussions will be interpreted into Czech Sign Language. The public will be able to ask questions using the Slido app.
