Captains Of Zaatari

(Captains Of Zaatari)

Two promising young footballers from Syrian refugee families want to turn professional and take part in the World Cup.

Years ago Zaatari in Jordan, one of the largest refugee camps in the world, became a refuge for Syrian families fleeing the war. Two boys on the threshold of adulthood are trying to escape this trap with the help of football, which is their passion. When agents from one of the leading sports academies visit the local league and select players for an international tournament in Qatar, it becomes a chance to leave behind the barbed wire complex, and perhaps a ticket to the world of professional sports. The dream of inseparable friends Mahmoud and Fawzi is to finally get the opportunity that has so far been denied to them, and to help their loved ones.
