One World in Brussels
Unfortunately, One World in Brussels had to be canceled due to covid-19 epidemic and will not be held in 2020. We firmly believe that we will come back to this traditional festival followup next year.
One World in Brussels is organized by People in Need in co-operation with the Permanent Representation of the Czech Republic to the EU, the Czech Centre Brussels and the European Parliament. Every year, we select the most important human rights documentary films from the Prague One World program, and by this means we open up current human rights issues at the centre of key European institutions and organizations. Every year, One World in Brussels hosts a number of experts, human rights campaigners, and filmmakers to discuss today's trends in the field of human rights at the panel debates after the screenings.
Our long-term local partners include the Human Rights and Democracy Network, Embassy of the Kingdom of Norway and United Nations Regional Information Centre. Other NGOs and international partners are involved in organizing the screenings and the panel debates. The screenings take place in the Permanent Representation of the Czech Republic to the EU, in Bozar Centre for Fine Arts, the European Parliament, Norway House, Cinema Galeries, Prague House and the House of European History.
