Dangling Tickets. Don’t treat just yourself but also others – purchase an extra ticket for the screening.

You may notice an empty seat next to you at the cinema because someone could not afford to buy a ticket. Don’t treat just yourself but also others – purchase an extra ticket for the screening.

A cinema ticket may be an inaccessible luxury for some. Because of this, One World came up with the concept of “dangling tickets” specifically so that everyone can go to the cinema – even those who cannot afford it for one reason or another. Just like last year, over the course of the festival you’ll have the chance to buy an extra ticket at One World’s info booth in the Lucerna Arcade and leave it there “dangling” on a designated hanger. The same option will be available at the festival’s second info booth at the Municipal Library on Mariánské Square.

This year we have added a new option for festival visitors who want to be involved in this project and give someone a cinema ticket. You will be able to buy more tickets immediately at the time presale tickets are available. Then, just bring the purchased tickets to the People in Need’s Langhans Café where the festival organisers will pick them up and either distribute them right away or post them during the festival.
