One World Interactive: UnEarthed

This year the UnEarthed category’s interactive offshoot offers several virtual reality documentaries. Like last year, it’s divided into two parts. The Brainz VR Cinema will show the best 360° films on nature and the environment – some on the climate crisis. Other venues will screen subtler reflections on disappearing nature. The selection of interactive projects will be presented in the style of a plant show: the viewer first enters a dead forest and then using VR gear will return to living nature, whether on an iceberg, in the Amazon rainforest, or underground.

Animalia Sum

Animal resources are disappearing and large-scale cattle production exacerbates the climate crisis. Insects arrive on the scene as the food of the future. But what do they have to say about it?

Three chapters in three immersive environments will present three different activities of humankind across the world: the ivory trade, the topping of a landfill in Africa, and the mining of Italian marble.
