For nearly 30 years they fought for their right to vote. The stories of the early 20th century suffragettes take on an entirely new form in this VR experience. To complete the successful movement, they need the audience to literally make noise.

Several pieces of clothing hanging on a clothesline. Dozens of blouses, sheets and skirts form an impenetrable barrier through which the outside world cannot be seen. A prison consisting of stereotypical symbols of femininity. For the women to free the audience, they must scream. Only then will the barrier break, the clothes fly away, and women can start fighting for their rights. Other smaller games unlock the other parts of the project, which feature archival testimonies of British suffragettes and thus complete a multi-layered experience of the struggle for female emancipation. This unique animated VR project, which works with the human voice, was presented at the prestigious Venice festival.

Virtual Reality at One World

A viewer with a ticket can try at least two projects within one hour. If more time is available, they can even try more projects. Every viewer sets the exact time of their arrival at the exhibit in the booking system. If a visitor does not arrive in time, their place may be given to other guests. Upon arrival at the exhibit, each visitor can book one project for which he or she will have priority access. We therefore recommend that those interested in a particular project come at least 15 minutes before the start of the time slot they have purchased.
