Veera lives between 2 worlds. She escapes from unpleasant reality to LARPing, where, wearing her golden hood, she tries to come to terms with childhood traumas.
Veera, 25, lives with her mentally challenged brother, who is 29. She has not seen her alcohol-dependent father for over 10 years, but is constantly haunted by memories of how he physically and mentally abused them. This film captures her in daily life, during talks with her therapist and when she is enjoying her greatest passion – LARP in costume – in which she also involves her brother as a form of therapy. They go for training and meetings where the group of enthusiasts create a space with its rules. They enter Harry Potter’s realm and other fantasy worlds but are losing control over the real one. Nothing else remains than to undertake their most challenging mission yet, through the snow-covered countryside to face their real nightmares in the form of a meeting with their father.
