Kunál Singh is an energetic and confident boy. He goes to school, enjoys watching movies from which he quotes his favourite lines, and knows all the world's capitals by heart.
Kunál is also blind, but it does not prevent him from joining the singing competition organized by the School for the Blind. He and his classmate make sure they will win. His beloved grandmother has always given him courage and taught him not to believe the Indian superstition that a blind man is born because of transgressions in a previous life. Thanks to her, Kunál believes that despite his disability he can do everything he sets his mind to.
