The festival opens on Monday, April 27 at 20:00 at the Bozar Centre for Fine Arts (Rue Ravensteinstraat 23, 1000 Brussels) with the Brussels avant-première of
in English with French subtitles
Anders Ostergaard, director of Burma VJ, and Khin Maung Win, director of the Democratic Voice of Burma will be available for Q&A after the film.
The screening is made possible also thanks to Cinema Delicatessen, the official distributor of the film in Belgium.
The festival continues from April 28 to May 4 at the Permanent Representation of the Czech Republic to the EU, the European Commission and the Residence Palace. The festival themes focus on Democracy in Central Europe (Paper Heads, The Power of the Powerless), 21st Century Dissidents (We, In the Holy Fire of Revolution), Images of Africa (Far From the Villages, Syntoniser Amani), International Justice (The Reckoning), The Right to Know (Reporter, Yodok Stories, Kites), Latin America (Bagatelle, Oblivion), and Migration (Barcelona or Die).
