for the film with the most significant contribution to human rights awareness The jury presenting the award is under the auspices of former president Václav Havel. Helena Dluhošová is a long-time aide to former president Havel. She worked in the Office of the President of the Czech Republic focusing on human rights and ethnic minorities issues and also served as coordinator of the Holocaust Phenomenon Project, which was initiated by Havel. She is co-founder of the Center for Humanitarian Relief for Czechs Abroad. |

Šimon Pánek is a co-founder of the People in Need Foundation
and head of its humanitarian operations. He is also a member of the Chronos
film company, which produces documentaries on human rights issues for Czech
Television. In 1992 he co-founded the private news agency Epicentrum, which
focuses on crises around the world. He was one of the student leaders of
the "Velvet Revolution" and later became a member of Civic Forum
and actively participated in Havel’s team that negotiated the establishment
of a democratic government. |

| Pavel Koutecký is a leading Czech documentary film
director. While focusing on art and science at the beginning of his career,
he recently began making social documentaries and became primarily concerned
