Life reveals to us a vast diversity of faces. Sometimes these faces have a friendly expression, but sometimes the opposite is true. Evils in the world are the cause of enormous grief. Goodness is the strength we have to resist these evils. We share the responsibility to help the world acquire a better face. The documentaries screened at the One World festival bring us testimonies from all regions of our planet: testimonies not only of the complexity of human relations and contradictions of modern times, but also testimonies of the importance of solidarity and mutual support. This is a significant message for us, too, and why we are supporting the One World festival this year. We are proud that we can contribute to the further development and presentation of this event. We know that even without our support, the very capable and determined organizers from the People in Need Foundation would create an outstanding film festival. But I suppose we have made things much easier for them. In the name of Plzeňský Prazdroj, I wish the festival great success, and I wish for young people to walk out of the cinemas with a conviction that dialogue between diverse worlds is the best solution for situations that sometimes may seem impossible to resolve.
