Category: Among the Species

This ‘what-if documentary’ by an experienced filmmaker and conceptual artist covers an event that is yet to occur – the first meeting between humans and intelligent alien life landing on Earth. The exploration of their ship and the dumbstruck reaction at first contact is evoked through stylised art. Interviews with experts from NASA, the UN, university professors and researchers from seemingly obscure organisations investigate how health and military institutions would respond to issues of morality and security. However, the questions these teams prepare for Them are mainly a reflection of us earthlings, our hopes and fears and our limited ideas concerning other intelligent life.
