OW in Brussels

From 4 – 12 May 2015, the 9th annual One World Festival in Brussels will take place, organized by People in Need in cooperation with the Permanent Representation of the Czech Republic to the European Union, the Czech Centre Brussels, the European Parliament, the Goethe Institute, Polish Cultural Institute Brussels, the Representation of Norway to the EU, organizations from the Human Rights and Democracy Network, the Brussels UN Information Centre (UNRIC), and Frank Bold.

Also cooperating on the Brussels festival are Watchdocs film festival (Warsaw) and Festival Des Libertés (Brussels). Media partner of One World in Brussels is EURONEWS.

Brussels public will see a selection of 17 films from the One World International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival which was held in March 2015 in Prague and in other 33 cities in the Czech Republic. The screenings will be at the Czech Representation as well as in the Bozar Centre for Fine Arts, the European Parliament, the Goethe Institute, the Misson of Norway to the EU and the Aventure Cinema. All screenings will be followed by a debate with filmmakers, human rights activists, experts, European Union representatives and other interesting guests which are organized in cooperation with human rights organizations. European Parliament sessions are organized in cooperation with Sakharov Prize Network.

Most of the screenings (except the opening film in Bozar and screenings in Aventure Cinema) are free of charge. However, tickets must be registered for in advance. There are additional requirements for attending the screenings at the European Parliament (EP) for those that do not already have an accreditation to enter the EP.
