If you want to defeat a boxer, challenge him to a game of chess. Everyday Rebellion is a story about how creativity and ingenuity can triumph over violence and repression. The documentary examines the impact that the development of media and technologies has on the creation of new forms of protest and resistance to test the strength of dictatorships and the structures of global corporations. The film shows examples of protest movements and activities from various places around the world, such as Iran, Syria or Spain. Although they have arisen for a variety of reasons, these movements share essential characteristics: an open and creative approach and importantly, the Gandhian idea of nonviolence. The film was made as part of a cross-media project www.everydayrebellion.com.
