Protest, rebellion, revolt. We present you visual of this year´s festival

30.01.2012 | 12:22

Not only on the web but also on social networks, in the streets, in festival spots and for sure in cinemas ? everywhere you will see this year´s main festival motive based on sprays and colours. The authors are Zuzana Kubíková and David Březina from studio Ex Lovers.

The visual revers to topic of One World 2012 - protest of people against persisting arrangements of public life and revolutions all over the world. "Going through the presentations of the situation in the Near East, Wall Street and Europe today and in the past, we have easily come to the conclusion that, across cultures, all public manifestations of discontent have two things in common - emotions and self-made banners and signs. So we have just taken the gestures, emotions and instruments the protesters use to address the establishment - that is, sprays, colours and felt-tip pens - and put them down on paper,"  the authors said.

Zuzana Kubíková and David Březina made minimalist flyers to protest against perfect touched up advertisements which fill up Czech streets. ?No promotional allegories or decorations. The same like public rebellion. ?

The festival spot originated from cooperation with studio OficinaTo be presented  very soon in the cinemas, TV and, of course, on One World web page, Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and Youtube.
During the festival you can see documentaries not only about revolts in the Arab world but also films on environment and other human rights issues. In every festival city, in Brno too, there will be special projections for schools.
