One World and IDF to Introduce Platform for Film Professionals

The upcoming One World International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival (taking place on 6-15 March 2012) is to host East Doc Platform - a brand new platform with a rich programme for film professionals by the Institute of Documentary Film (IDF).
With the platform, the film professionals may look forward to the East European Forum designed for projects in the production stage, Doc Launch presentation for projects in post-production or the East Silver video library with the fresh documentary offerings from all of Eastern Europe, as well as to one-to-one meetings within the Project Market or various Master Classes.
Hosting the platform, One World will thus be enriched by an industry programme that fosters the making and distribution of documentary films. "We value our cooperation with IDF and we believe that by extending the activities of One World to include the East Doc Platform, we will be involved in shaping one of the most important industry events in the field of documentary film," says Hana Kulhánková, director of the One World International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival, commenting on the activities planned.
"The East Doc Platform will capitalize on the long-term credit and results of activities organized by the Institute of Documentary Film in Jihlava. We believe that the new impulses, professionalism, experience and audience success of One World will enrich and intensify support for the creation and distribution of East European documentary films in Prague," says Viera Hladišová, director of the Institute of Documentary Film, about introducing the new programme.
